Yay! Its Saturday, my day off! Waking up week after week to a silent campsite is peaceful. No screaming children, or teams shouting in Korean :), just the beauty of the Smokies. I have the day to myself, while my roommate gives her parents a tour of the town. I was able to Skype with my life group girls and my dear cousin Kristen. And at the moment I'm finishing up some laundry.
I only have two weeks left here on the edge of the mountains. My days have been filled with entertaining middle schoolers and preparing for lessons to come. Lately I've been thinking of whats to come. Where I'll be in a few years. I could honestly see myself living on a mountain out West somewhere, hiking and biking and just enjoying the creation God made. I'm enjoying my independence for the mot part. Surprisingly I haven't been to homesick. Although I do miss home and my family it feels okay. I know that things will work out weather I like them or not. But for now I will just sit back and enjoy this day of prayer.
Wow! Only two weeks left. I sure hope you enjoy your last two weeks before you come back to complete your senior year. I can't believe that you are going to be a senior, graduate and go to college. It seems not too long ago that you were lying side by side with Joey and Sierra on a blanket in Grammies living room. You, with the black hair, sticking straight up. I love that pic. And then I have some really cute ones of you and Joey and Johnny on Siesta beach when you were about 5 or 6. You are doing an amazing thing and everyone is so proud of you. Keep going strong in your last weeks, the memories you are making and the lives you are impacting will be forever etched in your heart and theirs as well. Love, Kelly
ReplyDeletePraying for you this morning & asking God to bless you in a very special way! Love you, Rebecca Lauren Brillhart!

ReplyDeletewell, once again its friday :) My oh my how the summer days are shinning upon our faces. I can only imagine the hearts that have been touched by your commitment and dedication to the Lord, I do believe you will have a crown of jewels someday awaiting you. Rebecca God has promised many days will be trials and tribulations but when we run stong for him he also promises us VICTORY over all. How Exciting it is to look forward to the finish line when Jesus holds out his ourstreached arm and says to us: WELL DONE MY FAITHFUL SERVENT, WELCOME HOME. what a glorious day that will be when we are reunited with all our friends & family. And because of the seeds you are planting, God will continue to water in the years to come. I pray that you have a great and happy/relaxing week-end. when i think of you my heart smiles! Love you.. Tammy
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Rebecca! Hope you enjoyed your week and are still going strong into your final week. As I said before, this is quite an experience for you, but you will NEVER know the full impact that you will have made on others. Maybe when we you get back...we can meet for crab legs, or you can eat the veggies and I can eat the crab legs. I am leaving on Saturday to go to Tammy's house...so maybe before school starts:) Enjoy your last week! Kelly

Thank you for my birthday letter too! :) Hugs and kisses! Rebecca
